Shame and embarrassment are important. They reinforce the important role of limitations, once those boundaries have been crossed a person's depravity knows no bounds. Just ask the ERLL watch eating bilge chips.
This experience starts when we are young, proud, little watchstanders relishing in our stories that began with "At prototype we…." And soon progress into our first shame training to the dept about how awesome you were at maintenance this week.
